　　How is it that, being gone, you fill my days,

　　But great content that these should be the ways
1 O# S4 e* T6 Y* R* _　　Whereby the Fancy, dreaming as she strays,
　　Makes bright and present what she would would be.
7 x  `- }  I' |0 ]1 K. [6 U, {　　And who shall say if the reality
0 K  Y/ I9 X* p5 Q% O; V, \　　Is not with dreams so pregnant. For delays
　　And hindrances may bar the wished-for end;
# N9 |7 Q- Y4 b, T1 E# b' M' n　　A thousand misconceptions may prevent
　　Our souls from coming near enough to blend;

　　That each one needs to call the other, "friend!"
